Artificial Waterfall

Nuri Astronomical Observatory the artificial waterfall,

located in Royal Azalea Hill in Sanbon-dong with an area of 1,390 ㎡ , length of 40m and the width of 20m, was established in 2004 in order to secure a hydrophilic space and provide a dynamic theme in contrast with a static image of a city.

The refreshingly pouring waterfall is used regularly by the citizens as a playing and resting place, which provides cooling from the hot and humid weather of midsummer. Moreover, a frozen stream in winter, which reminds an ice sculpture, is also a famous sight.
